I have used this provider for more than 6 months

DO NOT send your child here. We sent our son here for about a year from the time he was around 6-7 months to the time he was 18 months. The only good experience we had was with a single teacher, Melissa who our kid loved. Aside from her everybody they hire seems to have little to no experience with child care. The daycare ignored our requests to not give our son milk(unless we bring it in) or milk related products on multiple occasions due to a lactose intolerance. We told them multiple times about this and were ignored. He would also come home with new bruises and scratches from the playground everyday showing negligence. We have now withdrawn our son after another child that was under the care of four people that specialize in child care was found outside at a neighbors house after making their way out the back gate of the playground. How the back gate was left open in the first place is mind-boggling to me. Let alone the fact that four of the daycare teachers that were outside at the time had no idea the child was even missing until the neighbor had already found the child. A police report was filed and the daycare was shut down. We just received a notification that they are opening back up at the start of the week. If you care for the wellbeing of your child do not send them here.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

The staff is the nicest you can find, my child is a busy bee and she is never bored between the different educational and fun activities they do everyday! The app that they use is great to see what is going on in your child’s day and is always updated with pictures and videos and an easy way to message their teacher/center. I am so grateful to have found the Jellybeans Centers!

I love my children's daycare. I have four children and all four have attended Jelly Beans at some point. Ms. Paula is wonderful and the staff is just as great.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Ms. Paula and the whole Jelly Beans team is fantastic! We used this facility from the time that my granddaughter was 9 months old until she moved on to kindergarten last year. My grandson also attended from the time he was an infant. Ms. Paula truly cares about every child that walks through that door. The entire staff was terrific and it was a wonderful environment for both of my grandchildren to grow up in.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Please do not take your children here. If you have foster children you are in trouble. Unless you do what the day care has said, with the children living in your household. Owner is all about the money. Owner for of daycare thinks she own the foster children, and will call in on you are pick children up for any reason. She will build a report against you, if you are planning on adopting children. Staying there at Jellybean it want happen. She owner/Paula will make sure of that.

Paula/owner uses children for a paycheck for her business; she doesn't care if children learn of love children. Its all about the MONEY; since kids are in foster care system. Owner/Paula will have no respect for you she want talk to you, she will call social worker behind your back daily. BEWARE FOSTER FAMILIES. She will talk nice but she is not for you.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

The staff at Jellybeans 2 in Waldorf helped our family out of a major bind when our current daycare situation became untenable. Having toured some of the major chain daycares (e.g., La Petite, Goddard School, Kindercare), I did not anticipate the warmth and personality imbued in this facility. The playground looked to be nearly half an acre, with a variety of nice (not all plastic like most places) equipment, including playhouses and a rock wall! The teachers are all credentialed and work from a top-flight curriculum, but are allowed to be creative as well. I loved the thoughtfully designed classroom and common areas and noted that the children all seemed very comfortable exploring the grounds and interacting with the staff. The fact that the director/owner knew the children by name spoke to the fact that she is directly involved with the day-to-day routine - and apparently has been, since day one. I am definitely looking forward to my son, Zachary, spending more time here. I am confident that the enriching environment and close-knit staff will aid with his continual academic and social growth.

The director and another staff person indicated that food belonged to staff. The food was not labeled. The food was put in sealed containers during the inspection.
2025-03-26 Monitoring 13A.16.05.12D Corrected
Findings: The center has a large fenced play area. There is one gate on the back side of the fence facing Route 301. There are two gates on the front side of the center, one in the toddler area and one in the main playground area that is facing Route 925. The center has been required to ensure that all three gates are self closing and self latching due to the proximity to two busy roads and as a requirement of the compliance agreement that was established in July 2024. All three gates have a carabiner clip. Two gates also have a gear tie that is tied around the two gates and attached to a ballast pole. The one gate at the front of center where the van parks is not self closing, self latching properly today. The Licensing Specialist tried the gate several times. The gate would not close all the way, then it would close but not latch. The other two gates had a strong pull to close and latch. The front gate did not. There were also privacy panels that slid down and scraped the ground. Once those were adjusted, the gate still did not close and latch properly. Later during the inspection, the gate was tested again. It closed and latched properly twice, but then did not. The fence co was called.
2025-01-02 Monitoring 13A.16.05.12D Corrected
Findings: The Licensing Specialist observed the outdoor play area, including the fences and gates at the front and the back of the play area. The OCC has required the center, as part of a compliance agreement, to have self closing, self latching gates that are locked. The Licensing Specialist observed the front gate to have a carabiner clip and an orange moldable rope (foam covered piece of wire) "gear tie" as well as a yellow ballard. When the LS removed the gear tie and carabiner clip, the gate was tested and was found to be working properly, as it closed and latched on it's own. The rear gate was observed to have a similar set up, with an orange gear tie and a yellow ballard, but instead of a carabiner clip, there was a rusty piece of wire that was threaded through and tightened. The LS found this wire to be difficult to remove, noting that it may not allow a quick escape in case of an emergency. The LS removed the gear tie and the wire. When the gate was tested, it did not self latch. The LS tried several times. When the gate was wide open it did not close, when the gate was at an angle where it would self close, it still would not latch. The director is advised to repair this.
2025-01-02 Monitoring 13A.16.08.02B Corrected
Findings: There were two aid qualified staff in the Toddler Room today. The lead teacher has been on a leave of absence due to personal reasons. The director was under the impression that the aid she had in the room was infant toddler qualified. The documentation was reviewed and the staff person still needs a letter of experience and the 45 clock hour growth and development course. This staff will need to log herself as the substitute for this classroom until she either becomes qualified, applies for a variance, or the lead teacher returns. If the lead teacher is out for more than 2 weeks a qualified teacher will need to be put in her place. The director reports that the lead teacher has been on leave since before the holidays, but that they were closed a majority of those days.
2024-04-10 Full 13A.16.06.02 Corrected
Findings: There are two staff that need a center orientation completed with them. Please complete the orientation with the staff ASAP and send copies to the licensing specialist.
2024-04-10 Full 13A.16.07.06C Corrected
Findings: There was one staff person that has worked at the center but the Office of Child Care did not receive the entire Release of information so the office could not fully clear her. The front page of the Release of Information was received today.
