Bright beginnings begin here and never end. At Dawn's Early Light we provide a structured learning environment that stimulates a child's heart and mind. Children have a chance to develop skills in cooperative play, social interaction, leadership and compassion. All of this while having fun! Activities are planned to encourage children to expand their potential without thinking about it, to enhance reasoning skills and to form wholesome observations about the world we live in. Each age group is provided with developmentally appropriate activities and centers.

Findings: During a review of a sampling of children's files, it was found that a 5 year old boy and a 5 year old girl both need another MMR vaccination. In addition, a 2 year old boy did not have any immunizations in his file. The Center Director contacted all three parents during the course of the inspection. The Center was able to obtain updated immunization records for both of the 5 year old children. Therefore, that portion of the non-compliance is now corrected. The Center still needs to provide a copy of the 2 year old boy's age-appropriate immunization record for the correction of this non-compliance.

Findings: During the inspection, it was found that a medication administration form authorizing the administration of a certain medication to a child expired in December of 2025. Please inform the respective parent so that they may obtain another medication authorization form from the child's physician. This medication is reportedly for febrile seizures. Please send a copy of the new medication administration form to OCC for the correction of this non-compliance.

Findings: During the inspection, medication designated for a particular child expired in January of this year. The Center was unaware that it was expired. Since being brought to the attention of the Center, the Center shall give the medication to the parent upon expiration in order for them to dispose of the medication. Please ask the parent to obtain more medication that is not expired, so that the Center may continue to administer it to the child as needed. Please write a letter of correction stating how the Center will become in compliance with this regulation in the future.

Findings: During the inspection, it was observed that the individualized activity plans for infants and toddlers did not contain the name of the staff member who is assigned primary responsibility for the care of the child during each staff shift. Instead of listing the staff member, the line on the form was either blank, had the parent name written in that space and one had the child's physician's name written in that space. When this was brought to the attention of the Director, she modified all of the forms to reflect the correct staff member responsible for each child in the Little Patriots infant room and the Navigator room which includes toddlers and two year old children. Therefore, this non-compliance was corrected on-site.

Findings: During a review of a sampling of children's records, it was found that two sibling children do not have their physician's address listed on their emergency form. Please have their parent complete the required information then initial and date the update to the emergency form. While this Licensing Specialist was still on-site, the parent picked up her children and added the missing information to both of her children's emergency forms. Therefore, this non-compliance was corrected on-site.

Findings: Inaccurate staffing patterns were posted in two classrooms. When this was discussed with the Center Director, she modified the staffing patterns to accurately reflect the correct staffing patterns and posted them in the corresponding classrooms. Findings: When asked about the Center's associated parties list, the Center Director reported that one of the staff members no longer worked at the Center. The staff member's last day of employment was 12/22/23. OCC must be notified of the ending of employment within 5 business days. The Director completed a 1203 to delete the staff member. Therefore, this non-compliance was corrected on-site.

This non-compliance is now corrected since EL has now completed her BHS training. Please ensure that all Aides complete BHS training within 90 days of their employment at the Center.
