2026-01-06 Complaint 13A.16.08.02B Corrected
Findings: A complaint was received that the center is out of ratio in the morning. The Licensing Specialists arrived to the center at 8:15am. Upon arrival their were 9 children present in Room 101A/B, there were no children present under the age of 2. There was a qualified teacher in the room with an aide. There were 3 school age children with an aide in Room 103 waiting for the bus to arrive and take them to school. At 9:00am an aide took 8 of the children from Room 101A/B into Preschool Room 102. Another aide signed in as a substitute teacher in that room. Also during the inspection, 4 infants arrived and an aide opened the infant room. Shortly after, a substitute, for the regular infant teacher, arrived and joined the aide in that room. The Director, after transporting 2 children to school, went into the PreK room. The Director explained that she currently does not have qualified staff so is having to use substitutes. She is currently recruiting for qualified teachers.
2026-01-06 Complaint 13A.16.08.03D(1) Corrected
Findings: A complaint was received that alleged that the center is out of ratio in the morning. The center uses an opening room and the caller said that there have been 2 infants, some toddlers and preschoolers with only one staff while another staff was outside with the school age children. When the Licensing Specialist arrived the opening room was within ratio, there were no infants or toddlers present and the school age children were in their classroom. However, while the inspection was taking place 4 infants arrived so one staff opened the infant/toddler room by herself and had the 4 infants until the additional staff person arrived.
2025-08-20 Other
Findings: No Noncompliances Found
2025-08-06 Mandatory Review 13A.16.06.09C Corrected
Findings: One teacher has not completed her 12 hours of continued training for the training cycle 2/2024-2/2025. She needs an additional 4 hours. The director said the staff person is currently enrolled in additional trainings but has not finished them. Please send copies of the training certificates to the Licensing Specialist once they have been completed.
2025-08-06 Mandatory Review 13A.16.08.03D(1) Corrected
Findings: Preschool classroom 104 A/B had preschool teacher with a total of 7 children. There was one 14 month old, four 2 year old's and two 3 year old's. Because there was an infant in the classroom and because of the number of children present there should have been an Infant/Toddler teacher along with one other staff. The children were napping and the director thought that because it was nap time they could follow the regulation regarding supervision during rest time for children 2 years and up. The 14 month old child is normally in the Infant and Toddler classroom but at the parents request the center was transitioning the child to the preschool classroom by allowing him to have lunch and naps in the preschool classroom. Once the child woke up he was brought back in the Infant/Toddler classroom. The ratio regulation was reviewed with the director and she now understands that if she wants that child to be part of the preschool classroom she needs to have an Infant/Toddler teacher in the classroom along with a preschool teacher.
