About the Provider

West Valley Christian School is in its eighth year of operating in the West Valley (formerly known as Phoenix Christian West Valley) – serving families in Goodyear, Avondale, Litchfield Park and Buckeye.
WVCS has over 130 students enrolled in grades K-8 not including our preschool classes. The school has 15 Christian teachers including specialty teachers for Spanish, music, physical education, art, and computers.
WVCS teachers are dedicated to providing students with a quality Christian education while developing Christian character and deepening each child’s love for Jesus.
We are fully accredited by the ACSI Regional Accreditation Commission.
In the quest for a quality school, accreditation is an indicator to parents that the organization values the education of children enough to pursue excellence in every aspect of its operation. ACSI accreditation, specifically, requires schools to perform a self-study evaluating every aspect of its program against national and international standards which represent best practice in the field.
More specifically, the school must document how they are cultivating student growth, both academically and spiritually, while maintaining the highest standards of school operation and faculty excellence. To this end, accreditation requires the school leadership and faculty to examine the impact of the school’s biblical vision and mission upon its programs and stated student outcomes as well as verifying it’s compliance with accepted educational practices and management.
The process of accreditation includes the following components:
Completion of a self-study, based on active participation and feedback from all staff members.
On-site verification of the self-study by trained peer-evaluators with expertise in education, instruction, administration, and school management.
Accreditation decision made upon review of the school’s self-study and visiting team report.
Submission of an annual report detailing the school’s ongoing commitment to continuous program improvement.
Renewal of accreditation every five years.
We are proud to announce the completion of the process accreditation and the ACSI Regional Accreditation Commission has granted West Valley Christian School accredited status. Thank you for your prayers and support as we engaged in the accreditation process. Many of you spoke with the visiting team during their time on campus and we appreciate your comments of confidence to the group.
