| Findings: A complaint states that a child missed their school bus, and the center put the child on another bus where the bus driver did not know the child, and the parents were not notified. During the interview with the director, the Director stated that the normal school bus had a substitute driver and that the school bus went to the wrong pick-up spot and was early. After waiting for the normal 30 minute time for the bus the center called the bus company while they were still waiting, and the bus company told them that the bus was already there. The bus company sent another bus to pick up the children and drop them off at school. The center stayed on the phone with the bus driver while waiting with the children until the children were picked up. The children who took the school bus both have special needs. The center did not notify the parents of the children who were picked up by the bus that the children were going to be late for their other school. The center is aware that the director or teacher should have contacted the children's parents to let the parents know that the children would be late to school and the bus number that the children went on. | |||

| Findings: A report came into the Office of Child Care that a staff member put a 20 month old child in the trash can because the child did not want to have their diaper changed. At the complaint inspection, the Director had already interviewed all staff that were in the classroom during the incident. The Director had suspended two staff, the one that put the child in the trash and the one that waited over 4 hours to report the incident. In a video interview with the Director, the suspended accused staff did state that they playfully picked up the child when the child did not want to get their diaper changed and dipped the child in the trash can while still holding the child. And then the staff took the child to change her diaper on the changing table. It was then that the staff member realized that there was trash on the child. The staff member has been suspended and cannot return until they complete an assigned 2 hour "Challenging Behaviors" training per the director. This staff member will also have to move rooms to be with children that can fully talk. The staff member was very sorry and did not mean any harm by the incident, she states that she was playing around and was being silly. | |||

| 2024-06-18 | Complaint | 13A.16.05.01B | Corrected |
| Findings: OCC received a complaint stating that the Child Care did not have AC and the children were visibly hot. At the time of the inspection more than half of the AC units were working. However, the 2-year-old classroom, 3-year-old classroom, and 4-year-old classroom did not have working AC. Each classroom was reading about 75 degrees. Half of the children did have pink cheeks. The church is having the AC unit replaced and a piece is on back order which is causing a delay in the repair. To correct this noncompliance please let the licensing specialist know when the AC unit is repaired. | |||
