I have used this provider for less than 6 months

The teachers at the daycare are awesome. I’ve just always had a problem when it comes to the administrative side with paperwork and things like that. I asked for a tuition paper I was told that they don’t have one they just verbally tell people. Also every time I’m asking to speak with finance it’s a problem and they will speak to them. But when I just recently asked to speak to someone in finance the lady at the front desk told me that there’s no one else for me to talk to and that she’s the person I talk to about everything. Debbie and Michelle don’t really care to help or even try to accommodate you in any way and don’t know how to talk to people. Like I said the teachers are all great it’s just those two who I’ve had a problem with since the beginning and I still haven’t gotten things handled with finance. My daughter had surgery and I told them about it. I just didn’t bring the paper with the info on it until after the surgery because right after letting them know about the surgery. I was contacted by her doctor and told that her surgery was cancelled for that day that was scheduled and pushed up. So I never went to go get the paper until the day of the surgery because it is located a good distance from my house. She then told me that the previous week couldn’t be waived because I didn’t bring my paper in and that I was already charged. I’ve never heard nothing like that before and a few months back my daughter had a week that was waived for medical reasons also. I pay out of pocket and don’t just have $165 to pay for a week of daycare where I had no control over if she came that week. Another thing I don’t like is that it’s on the website about it being affordable and low cost when it is far from that. When she first started I was paying $252 a week for full time and it was way too much so I switched to part time and it’s still way too much which is $165 a week.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

We applied for the free headstart program and got accepted.
As part of their program, Kinder Academy provides meals and snacks.
They also provide service for infants. Their philosophy is teach them through play.

They have 5 locations we take our son to the Elgin (Castor & Cottman). My son is curreltly enrolled.

Pros:
Once you get it, you have your spot for the next year.

Cons:
Parking: parents are not mindful of others and double park and use parking lots of the surrounding businesses, there are street meters but noone pays and noone gets tickets for not paying.
Late fees: in the school manual they have listed late fees, but, parents are late all the time and they never have to pay any late fees.
Organization: ??? Here is their big issue.
One day they allow people in early for drop off and the next day you have to wait outside in the cold without any previous notices.
They change policies without letting parents know and you will always see someone running doing last minute things. Its like they are all over the place.
Cleanliness: halls are just ok maintained but classrooms and bathrooms are always dirty, smelly and clogged. There are cockroaches near sinks. The classroom are always running out of paper towel and cleaning supplies.
Administrative and kitchen employees: very nice and polite.
Teachers and assistances: unfortunately, our son's teacher's appearance needs a lot of improvement (her clothes and hair needs to be better groomed).
The way she carry herself in the classroom and how she talks to kids needs lots of improvement as well.
Unfortunately, some kids do whatever the want in their presences and they do or say nothing to little to correct them.
They allow kids to be bullied.and if you mention it they get really defensive. Teachers talk down to kids.
Upper management: They have one small office at the entrance (messy and papers every where I wonder if my personal information is just laying around somewhere there in that mess) and they use another small room as library/supply room/lunch room/ conference room.
They don't have a proper place to discuss private matters or a very well thought procedure to handle senstive information so they just reprimand employees, talk to parents about personal issues and such in the hall ways, at the entrance or just anywhere so everybody can eardropp.

I guess this is what you get when you don't make enough income to pay for private education.
As soon as I am in a stable financial situation we are taking our son to a new school.

If you are thinking about applying here.. Please think twice.
