Description: In September 2005, Kane Street Synagogue opened the first Conservative Jewish pre-school serving the Downtown Brooklyn area. Kane Street Kids is licensed by the Department of Health & Mental Hygiene and provides students between the ages of two and five years, with the very highest quality Jewish pre-school education.
Our goal at Kane Street Kids is to promote the intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual growth of children within a comfortable, progressive Jewish environment. We warmly welcome families of all religions and religious approaches, as long as they are open to the practice of Jewish customs and traditions in the classroom. We regularly receive thanks and appreciation from parents.
Daily classroom schedules reflect a balance between structure and independent choice. Our experienced, Master teachers establish familiar routines that include many opportunities for each child to learn and explore individually, in small groups and as a class.
