| Findings: The child in question was injured on Wed June 17 in the morning. Owner SC and IT teacher HD stated the parents asked for information from them about places to take the child for medical care before they left the center with him that day. Complaint report stated the child was taken to the ED, but due to the wait, the child was taken and seen by their primary care provider. The complainant reported the child was diagnosed with a 2nd degree burn on his palm. The center did not notify the Office the child received medical care for this injury within 24 hours. Licensing Specialist received a copy of the written, signed incident report and the child's emergency form on site at the inspection today. This is corrected. Center is reminded any injury or incident to a child that occurs at the center and requires medical attention is to be reported within 24 hours to the Office of Child Care. | |||

| Findings: While the Licensing Specialist was onsite, a walk through of all classrooms was conducted. A head count was taken in each classroom and there were 47 children present in the center. The center's total capacity is 46. While the Licensing Specialist was present, several children were picked up and this non-compliance corrected itself. The Center Owners are reminded that the total center capacity should never exceed 46 children and head counts should be taken frequently to ensure there are never more than 46 children present at any one time on the premises. Licensing Specialist notes the space does measure for more than 46 children and the fire safety inspector has approved the space for more than 46 children. The Owner Director stated the center is working with the county to obtain a use & occupancy permit that would allow more children in care. | |||

| Findings: During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed a school age child take the 'breakfast bin' downstairs to the kitchen without a staff member accompanying him. LS also observed a child from the Tigers room at the sink washing her hands without a staff member accompanying her. This child's class was outside on the playground. Asst Director stated the staff use the walkie talkies to communicate with her and the Office Manager to supervise children who need to come inside to the use the bathroom, but that did not happen today. Asst Director spoke to the staff and assured LS this is not the norm and the children are always supervised when they come in to use the bathroom and wash their hands. This was corrected while LS was present. | |||
