They consistently and knowingly violate WI State regulations. The <2y tends to have 6-9 kids PER teacher. While the teachers themselves are great, the owner of the place (also an Advocate Aurora Health employee) tries to maximize profit by employing too few teachers. The older kids now experience new teachers daily, making it difficult for my little one. I originally went there because of cost/hours but needed to leave. STAY AWAY!!
If I was able to rate this daycare zero stars, I would. It is absolutely horrible. Teachers are fake, rude and uncaring. Walked in earlier than usual to pick up my son and saw the teacher Maria yank my 2 yr old son's arm and yell "PICK IT UP NOW!"- while pointing at some toys. I confronted her and she had the nerve to say that she has a loud voice, which is complete bs because she was talking to me very calm and professional. I seen this with my own eyes, who knows what else she could be doing to other children when no one is looking. I complained to one of the directors, Ms. Lisa and she said she'd "talk" to her. I pulled my son and my school age daughters out of there so quick. I am now in the process of talking to Lydia and the owner, but I somehow keep getting the run around. I will get to the bottom of this, they should not be working in a daycare if they can't handle it. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!!!!!!!!!!
My daughter was at this daycare for a little over a year and I absolutely loved it. Ms. Elena and Mrs. Lydia are awesome as well as others there. But my daughter by far was well taken care of and I felt secure knowing my daughter was being cared for by good people.
Thank you Tiny Town for everything!
There are some good teachers here - however - I don't recommend this facility at all. Very disorganized. -One of the directors is incredibly difficult to understand. This center frequently does not answer their phone - leaving no way for a parent to get in to touch with the facility during the day. Director does not return phone calls left on answering machine. Teachers did not give us feedback on how our child did during the day, our child was very sick while attending this facility and not once did they give us any feedback on how our child was doing. However I think so many other kids were crying that they didn't hear our child's coughs,etc... We have heard teachers in the older kids rooms yell unnecessarily. Infant teacher was caught sleeping on the job. Front door of center was frequently propped open with a kleenex box for an unknown reason. Infant car seats have to be left in the front of the building which is an unsecured public building for aurora healthcare. Our child did not have a crib for the first several weeks of attending this facility - even though there were cribs available for use. Child instead slept on a mat on the floor. This may be an inexpensive facility for aurora employees - however, it is not worth it. I never knew what i was walking in to when entering this facility on a daily basis.
our daughter is 18 months old and has been going here since she was 2 months. We have had few issues with this daycare. The teachers we've had so far seem to care about the children. The only downside I can note is the lag between paying our bill and having the check cashed. Other than that, it is a clean, friendly environment that promotes children.
