Aldersgate Preschool is a non-profit early care and Christian education center. Children make new friends in a safe, loving environment while learning new things and having fun!  Aldersgate Preschool has moved to Level Star 2 for the Delaware Stars quality rating preschool program.

Corrective Action: The administration is to ensure the facility is free of unacceptable exposure to hazardous materials. The center has had construction conducted during child care hours and the appropriate safety protocols were not followed to ensure that there was no impact to the health and safety of children in care. The center has ceased construction projects until the summer when there are no children in care.

Corrective Action: Center staff must ensure supervision and direct observation of children is provided at all times. On October 7, 2019, a child was left alone in the hallway when the class proceeded upstairs to the chapel. The class returned and found the child in the hallway. The child could be seen on camera footage from 10:39 am to 10:52 am alone in the hallway. The child's parents were informed of the lack of supervision and staff reviews appropriate supervision procedures and continuous counting of children during transitions.

Corrective Action: Painting and remodeling projects may not affect the air quality during hours of operation. On December 4, 2019, Room 137, a room not currently used by children but located across from two child care rooms, was spray painted and the paint could be smelled in the hallway and preschool area during child care hours. Administration must ensure any work done onsite does not affect air quality during child care hours.
