Don’t enroll or work at this establishment. It’s not a safe place for children to be attending. No camera’s in the majority of the classrooms. Playground is a hazard and not clean. It’s a setup for injuries. Owners don’t want to invest in making the environment inviting or safe for teachers to teach. Always in non-compliance for lack of child supervision.

Cox Farms 2019-10-18 19:27:14

This group brought a field trip to Cox Farms for our Fall Festival. They lost a three-year-old girl in the parking lot/ticketing area before even entering the festival grounds. She had no emergency contact information, sticker or shirt with her group name, or anything else that we could use to reunite her with her group. We had this child for more than FOUR HOURS. We have camera footage, security, and several staff members who can verify the amount of time the child was lost, because we were essentially babysitting this kid for most of the day. We made announcements, we searched for any groups that were missing kids, and made no progress. We only reunited the child with the group when we did because we eventually ran into them several hours later, but they were not even looking for her at that time. They were not surprised, nor were they apologetic or concerned. We see LOTS of lost kids every day here, and this situation was absolutely appalling. They did not follow any of the standard operating procedures for safe outings with children of that age, and they failed to do any headcounts of the children in their care for more than four hours (or they did a faulty headcount, because we definitely had one of their kids from before they entered the festival until four hours later and they were not at all concerned about her).

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I enrolled my children at Seed Of Righteousness in 2014 and through my experience I noticed that none of the staff were trained to care for special needs children and the center did not welcome outside therapists or equipment to accommodate children with special needs. Also, the teachers in my son's class, the infant room they lost the shirt my son wore to daycare and replaced it with another child's clothing without notifying me first and did not take liability for losing his clothing. The teachers were also misusing my son's diapers and wipes on other children in his classroom because I found myself having to replenish his diapers more frequently than normal. As for my daughter's classroom, the teachers were very neglegant in keeping up with my daughter's change of clothes because a teacher from another classroom brought a pare of her spare pants to me in passing as i was picking up my children. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone nor would I enroll my children here in the future.

I worked here for a week and had to quit, now you know it's bad when someone quits in a week, it's dirty, no organization, kids can do anything they want, I wasn't told the two teachers before me quit, and as soon as I got there my side put in her two weeks, this place is the worst, please consider not taking your kids here,I have never seen such mayhem in one center.

SORCCDC's administration is horrible. They do not communicate with the parents and reprimand, and even fire, the teachers who believe it is their duty to keep all parents informed. Recently, I noticed that they were storing cheese puffs, chips and other snacks in plastic grocery store carrying bags and not a ziplock bag or closed container. To top it off, they fed the children a hotdog roll and cheese, which they tried to say was grilled cheese, with carrots for lunch on 1/6/16 and did not see a problem with that!! I immediately withdrew my child.

So far so good. His teachers are awesome and I can see him learning a lot for a 6 month old. We've already seen progress when it comes to things like sitting up and holding his bottle.
The whole place could use a makeover but with what they charge I can't see that coming anytime soon. I guess that is the trade off when they don't take your entire paycheck.
The teachers and admin are nice so he'll be staying there for now.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE! I am a teacher and know that no school/center is perfect, but this center has so many red flags. My children went for a week and I withdrew them. The teacher in the older classroom, Ms. Frances, had her class write 50 times "I will follow directions". I haven't heard of anything like that since my mom was in school in the l1960's! When I approached the director about it, she was nonchalant about it and said oh I'll look into it. This teacher who was with a group of energetic 6 year olds was about in her 60's and just surly. She had no happiness or pep...not someone that you want to be with your kids most of the day. My daughter as well as the rest of the kids looked so sad to be getting dropped off in the mornings and were mostly playing on the floor occupying themselves when I picked them up. In the one week she was there, she brought home about 20 worksheets which must've been what she had the students doing most of the day. My daughter said whenever she needed help, the teacher would tell her to sit down. My younger daughter, 4, had separation anxiety and didn't want to sit with the other children on the first day. The school must've called my husband and I about 6x that week to "come up here and calm her down". I've never seen a childcare center that couldn't handle a 4 year old crying. I'm soooooo happy I got them outta there!
