I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My son attended The Learning Experience and at first I loved it. I was referred by a friend. She had a child there and I knew how she was about her child, so I figured I would give it a try. Even after me seeing on the news, social media and on the ocfs.ny.gov website of the pending revocation back in 2019 regarding the toddler who's finger was severed off and not one staff member called 911. She told me it was under new management and all of the staff that was involved with that incident was terminated. He had an amazing teacher by the name of Ms Jessica. Then when the Pandemic happened we were placed on a shut down. I put his enrollment on pause. When he returned in June 2020, many of the teachers didn't return. They rather stay at home and make more on unemployment. Now, that my opinion has changed about the daycare. I don't blame them and I probably would've done the same. Just so I didn't have to work in that environment. The first issue was there were way too many changes with the Teachers and they never notified the parents of the change. I've never in my life seen so many changes with staff. The turnover at this place was too high. That is never a good sign. Each month was a bunch of new teachers. You would think, because we weren't allowed inside due to COVID they would have a picture up of the teacher, caring for your child. Just to give the parents a piece of mind. Next issue was my child's pull-ups were never changed like they were supposed to. I have so many emails back and forth with them about that. I know he wasn't being changed because I would send in a sleeve which was about 16 pull ups and it would be four weeks or longer until they asked for more. He was there from 8:30 am- 6:00 pm Monday - Friday. No way should 16 pull-ups ever be enough for the duration of time he was there. Then when he outgrew a size 2T-3T they were still putting them on and they were way too tight. He had marks on his sides from the pull up being too tight. I complained and told them to toss out all 2T-3T pull ups. They apologized, but said that some pull ups were donated by another parent. I didn't care and told them to please stop using them. Reminder we weren't allowed in the facility due to COVID, which was very frustrating. What should've been the last straw was when my son got a bruise on his arm and no one could tell me how he got it. You mean to tell me the kids are outside playing on their playground and not one person seen what happened? I addressed my concerns via email like always; only this time they called me. I guess they didn't want a paper trail of them admitting they didn't know how he got the bruise. The last straw was when two teachers told me secretly to remove my child out the daycare as soon as I could. They didn't give an explanation, but honestly I didn't need one. I was alarmed and truly wish I knew why this place has an revolving door of staff. The Director of Curriculum and the Head Director of the program resigned within a month of each other. That tells you they have some upper management issues. This place would be a great daycare if ran correctly. Its in a great neighborhood, the facility is clean, but please don't be fooled by that. They care about the appearance NOT the quality of daycare they're providing. I also believe the daycare would be great if they hired staff interested in working with children; like either having a degree in Early Childhood or in the process of obtaining a degree in Early Childhood. The Director Caitlin was awesome, but she had way too many duties (like why was she cooking lunch) for the kids every day? I feel that took away from her doing more important things. Also, the Director of Curriculum Ms Nya was awesome too. I forgot to mention that my son's cups, bowls, and toys would go missing constantly and they would rarely pop back up. I always wondered where they went. I constantly had to replace his stuff. It was so bad even the Director said "I'll pay you for his stuff." All of his items were labeled. So there was no excuse. Below are other issues: Their lunch is also crappy for the amount of tuition you pay. The TLE parent app is pretty much nonexistent. You barely would get pics or updates daily. This would lead you to asking questions at pick up, which defeats the purpose of providing the service.
