| Findings: Licensing Specialist observed on the inspection that the concrete sidewalk on the outside of the building had not been pored at the time of the inspection. The program owner stated that it would be done today and at that point the final Use and Occupancy certificate would be issued. LS informed the owner that he could submit pictures and videos of the finished sidewalk and that the U and O certificate would need to be submitted to her in order to move forward with the room approval. LS also was told by the owner that there would be temporary fencing surrounding the sidewalk to create a barrier between the sidewalk nd the continuing playground construction. | |||

| Findings: RM drove by the center and observed the back part of the building was missing. The back playground was dug up. There was temporary fencing around the front of the building on the parking area and a tent is erected. The building parking lot is attached to a bank & Medstar building. Licensing Specialist received an email in October 2019 about plans for the construction of a new gym, classroom and playground from the centers owner. As of June 22, 2020, the LS had not received a Change of Facilities form (1209) or any notification that construction had begun. LS spoke with one of the owners of the program who informed her that due to the recent pandemic plans had changed and construction was halted. The owner also informed the LS that the architectural plans had also changed during this time and were not the same plans that were originally received in October 2019. LS asked the new plans to be emailed as soon as possible along with the total square footage for all play areas. | |||

There was temporary fencing around the front of the building on the parking area and a tent is erected. The building parking lot is attached to a bank & Medstar building. LS conducted a complaint inspection in which she was informed that the Pre School and Pre K children were using an unapproved area in the parking lot as a play area. The area had been blocked off with temporary fencing. LS informed the Education Director that temporary fencing was not an approved barrier and that all children should play in the approved play space that is fenced in and unaffected by the current construction. The Regional Manager also discussed with the owner adding temporary fencing between the edge of the sidewalk and the start of the construction area on the Pre school and Pre K side of the building. | |||
