| Findings: Licensing Specialist Amland and LS Supervisor Neal conducted a Complaint Investigation on today's date. Complainant alleged that one of the teachers had poked a student with a walkie-talkie in the stomach and the neck. This occurred after the teacher had asked the student to stop touching his hair, but did not. LS inquired about the allegations with the Director and two other staff. Teacher A stated that she did not witness the incident. The Teacher who had poked the child in the stomach told Teacher A about the incident, which was that he told the child he needed space several times, and the child did not move and told the Teacher he was an abuser. Per Teacher A, the Teacher used the walkie talkie to make the child move. Teacher B witnessed some of the incident. Teacher B informed LS that he witnessed the child in the Teacher's space, and that she touched his hair. Teacher B also informed LS that he witnessed the Teacher poking the child in her stomach lightly with the walkie talkie. According to injurious treatment, no child is to be subjected to physical discipline at any time. Teacher who poked the child is on administrative leave. | |||
