About the Provider
Parents and teachers create a caring community to nurture children and families. Parents get acquainted with other families at picnics, holiday parties, and other social events. Those parents who are available are invited to our Parent Group that meets once a month during school hours, with younger siblings welcome.
Parents are always welcome at the school. Some parents serve on our elected Parent Board, others may share their talents in music, dancing, or woodworking, while others may help with ethnic or other celebrations. All forms of parent participation are always appreciated.
We encourage children to learn to solve problems.
We help children learn to resolve conflicts peacefully.
We create a safe, nurturing environment where children can express their own needs and feelings, and learn to appreciate the needs and feelings of their friends.
We help children become more self-reliant.
We talk about their ideas and questions, and we all observe nature.
