Small Wonders Discovery & Learning Center

My daughter attended here. The care recieved was not what i was expecting. She was in the infant room. They were short staffed. They needed to put a toddler in the infant room for "Timeout". He bit my daughter right in the face. Left a nice mark . No phone call. Never told us at pickup. I seen it as i was buckling her carseat into the car. I called the center as soon as i got home. They apologized and told me about the toddler they had in the room and said it would never happen again. So we go the next day. They are supposed to open at 530. It was 545 and i had to call my job to let them know i would be late. I was reprimanded. NEVER expected this out of a daycare center. The girl apologized. Said she slept through her alarm and that she bartended the night before. No ones perfect, we are all human. But if your going to work at another job til 230 am and have to watch children at 530 may i recommend setting a few alarms. This isn't the first time she had been late. Anyway I get a call later that day. my daughter had been bit AGAIN! By the same boy! At this rate i started asking for names of care providers involved and they couldnt give me a straight answer. This same boy was in the infant room for "Timeout" i had to leave work, got another write up for that bc i needed to go get my child because this time the bite mark looked bad and they thought it needed glue or stiches. We went to Salem Regional Medical Center ER. Dr gave us antibiotics and told us she would be in pain a few days and it would probably scar. Well he was right. I immediately pulled my child out of care there. I couldnt risk any more scenarios. Sad part about this whole thing. The staff did not honestly seem to care. I know kids will be kids. But my daughter was 4 months old and helpless
