Description: Ever since they opened the first Lightbridge Academy in 1997, Guy and Julia Falzarano knew that their mission was more than to provide exceptional care. They realized it takes both parents and children to make a family, and that parents have needs as well. Their pressures, their emotions, their own growth—yes, parents grow too—are realities of families and they are inseparable from the experience of raising children.
Lightbridge Academy was at the forefront of addressing the needs of working parents by offering features such as extended hours and an optional meal plan. Our commitment to moms and dads inspired our 1998 introduction of ParentView® Internet Monitoring, which keeps parents connected to their children even while they’re at work. It also led to our 2011 launch of the Tadpoles App which allows you to receive daily reports and milestone updates—including pictures and video clips—in your inbox throughout the day.
Lightbridge Academy’s brand of family-centered care has been adopted by many over the years. Today, thousands of parents, children, employees and franchisees benefit from our Circle of Care—our term for the supportive relationships and family values that make Lightbridge Academy so special.
The Falzarano’s remain deeply involved in the Lightbridge Academy family today. They guide the policies that shape Lightbridge Academy’s great work. Their children work alongside them and their grandchildren are now experiencing the warm embrace of the centers they’ve helped to create.
We remain committed to doing more for the working families we care so deeply about. In the coming years, we plan to expand our Circle of Care to even more families and communities throughout the Northeast.
