Description: Betty H. Fairfax High School is Phoenix Union’s newest comprehensive high school, having opened in 2007, and graduating its first senior class in spring 2011. Named after a Phoenix teacher, guidance counselor and civil rights activist, who inspired and motivated students over a 57-year career. The school has followed in Betty's footsteps, building a foundation of excellence.
Fairfax is committed to facilitating college-level skill development and access to college preparatory courses for all students. This internationally-acclaimed, rigorous program makes a positive impact on every student, teacher and course at Fairfax, and enhances its concerted effort to move students into post-secondary education.
