| Findings: The complainant alleges the provider does not allow parents inside of the home. She requested a walk-through as her 2-year-old daughter is enrolled at the provider's home and was denied access. The child is passed to the parent at the door. It is alleged the door is not even open all of the way and cracked enough to pass the sign-out form through and then the child. During the inspection, the child care provider was interviewed regarding their pick-up and drop-off policy. She stated that during family enrollment and tours, she informs parents that all pick-ups and drop-offs occur at the home's access door. The provider escorts children to and from the front door, and parents are not permitted to enter the home or the approved child care space. She explained that this policy was implemented during COVID-19 and has been maintained to minimize foot traffic and to prevent the spread of germs. She also stated she was unaware that she could no longer keep this policy in place after COVID-19. The provider noted that she did not deny the parent's request for a walk-through and stated that the door is never left cracked during pick-up and drop-off. Regulation discussed with provider. | |||
