Description: Lincoln Country Day School's philosophy is based on two concepts. First, we believe that each child is a unique individual who will develop physically, cognitively, emotionally and socially at his or her own pace. We believe that children are competent learners, capable of embracing new ideas and engaging with the world around them. Second, we believe children learn through play. Play is their work. It is through play that children practice their social skills. Through play, academic concepts are introduced and children have a chance to use their imagination. Through play, children will naturally learn to become independent critical thinkers.
