About the Provider
A nationally (NAEYC) accredited, state licensed program providing early childhood education for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and before and after school kindergarteners. Kehillah participates in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Keystone Stars Quality Initiative Program which upholds the highest standards in the state. Special activities and specialists include Israeli dance, gymnastics, sign language and music & movement. A summer camp program with many specialists is open to the community.

The Center Director met with the staff responsible for this classroom following this incident to debrief about how this occurred and to review the FELS Active Supervision protocol. These staff members were suspended in keeping with our internal policy, emphasizing how serious this incident was. To date, one staff member has completed the Active Supervision Module provided by Better Kid Care, the second staff member is in the process of completing this training. An audit throughout the childcare space was conducted to make sure the STOP & COUNT signs were posted. Classroom and playground DAILY monitoring began March 13, 2025. As of March 13, 2025, the Center Administrators began using an Active Supervision Monitoring Log. All Kehillah staff will be re-trained on FELS Active Supervision and Name-to-Face Protocols.
