Head Start - Sereno Village

Honestly this program with the new director has gone downhill very bad, when Ms Lewis was the director she actually cared and made sure children and parents were helped and heard. She went out of her way to be there for parents and the students. The new director never keeps her word. Doesn’t follow up answer any calls or makes sure applicants are registered or at least brought in for an interview to be enrolled in the program. I’ve never seen a program be this bad with its registration process same goes for the American canyon location. They fail to respond for months it’s ridiculous. I just ended up not even bothering trying to enroll my 3 year old

I attempted to register my daughter to the program but was denied for incorrect information on the application, after having corrected it I was told she would be on a waitlist but a year passed by and I continually checked for the status but nothing changed. After trying once more, I called the office here at sereno and they hung up on me after I told them that I was reapplying for my daughter, they did not attempt to return the call until I called again and asked if it was okay for me to ask a question since they hung up on me previously for having asked if I could resubmit the application. They ended up having to help with the call because I told them that it was unprofessional to hang up on someone mid conversation. It’s been a little over 3 weeks and I still have not received a call back as promised by the receptionist. I don’t understand how this works anymore, my son attended the program before and it was never like this
