Gnome Sweet Home Daycare

About our daycare: At Gnome Sweet Home Daycare we try to make learning magical and fun for your little one. We provide a safe space for expression, creativity, and growth. Our program incorporates a wide range of learning materials, educational toys, puzzles, and games- as well as engaging hands-on activities to allow your child many opportunities for educational exploration and discovery.  We are conveniently located in a quiet little neighborhood in Eureka, easy to get to, but tucked away at the end of the lane. We have a fenced backyard with play houses and slides, a sandbox and water table.

About our family: Hello, my name is Heather. I am 36 years old and I have a daughter who is almost 2 yrs old. My degree is in English literature and I love sharing books with children and doing creative art projects. I have 5 years of experience as a daycare teacher at a center back in Columbia, Missouri- where we are from. We moved out to this area a few years ago for my husband to attend grad school at HSU. He currently teaches at College of the Redwoods and does tech/computer work. He also helps out around the daycare in the mornings.

Financial Assistance: I am able to accept funding through Changing Tides. (Please contact them for more information about this process, and they'd be happy to explain how this works.)

Pet Disclaimer: We have an older golden retriever at our home, so if anyone is allergic to dogs, please be aware. She is very sweet with people and gentle with children. She has a few separate spaces around the property- so she won't be in the way while children are playing, but she's available for petting and will usually be nearby.
