Findings: Complaint states that a staff member left a two year old child alone in the bathroom with the lights out and the door closed. Staff member stated that they left the child alone in the bathroom for a minute or so without supervision as a form of child discipline because the staff member was frustrated with the child's behavior. Staff member states that they don't remember if the door was left open or closed. Director and Administrator stated that the camera showed that the door was open. Though short periods of time out is an appropriate child discipline method, leaving a child in a bathroom for time out is not since linking a negative consequence with a physical need is not appropriate discipline. Director stated that corrective measures have been taken. Center shall submit a letter of corrections indicating the corrective actions that have been taken and the results of those corrective actions.
