Description: Children of the City is the only grassroots, family development organization in New York City that utilizes home visits to connect individual children and families with the programs and resources to empower them with the skills to overcome poverty.
Based in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, Children of the City has been responding to the critical needs of families coping with trauma, academic frustration, drug abuse, delinquency and despair since 1981. Growing with the community is a priority for Children of the City. New programs are added reguarly to help families address crucial issues as they arise.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues.
