Findings: When the Licensing Specialists arrived at the family child care home it was observed that the co-provider was sitting in a car parked outside of the home, with the car doors closed. The co-provider was sitting in the passenger seat and a male was sitting in the drivers seat. Before ringing the doorbell, the Licensing Specialists observed the door to the home slightly ajar, but not enough to see inside of the home. Shortly after ringing the doorbell, the provider exited the car holding an infant to let the Specialists inside of the home. Upon entering the home with the co-provider and infant, there were two 3 year old children sitting at the table, and two children asleep in the nap room; a 4 year old child was asleep on a cot and the infant was asleep inside of an infant carrier. When one of the Specialists asked the co-provider if the provider was in the child care space, she stated the provider was not there. The co-provider stated that she was getting the infant out of the car from the parent. Specialists reminded the co-provider to be present inside of the home when there are children in care to render immediate assistance if needed. Please submit a letter of correction.
