I have used this provider for less than 6 months
Please trust your intuition here, I had a bad feeling from the start. This school may be good for older children but for younger ones that require more attention this is not the place. My son cried and screamed every day going here and that was new to me. He loves school. The teacher who greeted us every morning was so rude and mean to my son. The strong smell of bleach is not good for little ones and I just could not let my son continue to go here. I do appreciate how easy the enrollment was but that also was a red flag. This place is great at advertising exactly the opposite of what they offer. *******THIS REIVEW IS FOR CATHERINES AT 733 W Lumsden Rd, Brandon, Florida 33511, United States, IN THE PARKING LOT OF TGH URGENT CARE. *****************
Catherine's Christian Learning Academy has absolutely great advertising.I had to take a double look to make sure this was the right place. However it does not look like this in person but it does look better than it use to under the previous owners.
My reason for my review is to suggest parents to have their own code to enter this building when ever they want to and/or cameras for the parents to observe their child.
I am the concerned loving grandmother that wants to trust but knows the world we are in today.
When I arrived to pickup my granddaughter as I do every Friday. This Friday it took 3 long rings before the lady at the door unlocked the door. First time it ever took 3 rings. So my concern went up. When I get in the door the cry from the back of the building sounds like my granddaughter. When I get to the back it is my granddaughter crying her eyes out. I asked the teacher immediately why is she crying and why is she not in her class but sitting at another table? Front door lady answers. She's upset she didnt have clothes to get wet. The teacher left in charge says. I dont know why she is in the other class nor why she crying. The previous teacher set her there before she left at 3pm. I didn't leave home until 3:45pm. My attention goes to my granddaughter daughter. Who is still crying. The other teach chim in a say. She is crying because the child took her book. At this point because I get 3 different stories. I am irritated. I told them they have 3 different stories and I am the grandmother not to play with with mines. My granddaughter is 4yrs. She told me somebody took her book. Then she repeated what the front door lady said about her mother didn't put her clothes to get wet in the bag.
Point I am making after all this story. Had that front door lady been at her desk and open that door. My trust issues may not have been alerted. Front desk lady answering why my grand is crying when she should have been at front door was even more irritating. She made this situation bad. I believed the other two ladies and my granddaughter was crying about the book. She could careless about getting wet. She doesn't like water in her face.
Since this incident the owner Ms. Davis makes sure that the front desk lady uses a walkie talkie. "ONLY for ME". Now they escort "my granddaughter" to the front for me to pickup "ONLY FOR ME".
If Ms. Davis remembers. Day one my concerns for my granddaughter's safety and trusting was at the top of the list. Also a clean inviroment. I was given a walkthrough with my daughter before choosing the place for my love to be. We all should be more concerned with our children. I don't care what the name is.
Thank you
