About the Provider

The Bais Yaakov School for Girls, in Baltimore, Maryland is one of the largest schools of its kind in the world. The school has a history of delivering educational excellence, producing the next generation of highly motivated women prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the communities in which they settle. What distinguishes our graduates is that they are taught an abiding admiration for life: love of humanity, and to pursue justice, liberty and truth with all their hearts and souls based on Torah values. In sum, they are taught to make the world a better place. Our students strive to become women of valor: to commit to actualizing their potential, to build and uplift humanity, to connect each generation to the timeless values of the Torah, to be unselfish in their outlook, and to be compassionate in their deeds. This is the Bais Yaakov School.

2026-06-09 Complaint 13A.16.07.06A Corrected
Findings: After reviewing the video, it was observed that the teacher continued cleaning and did not check on the child when they started to cry. The teacher did not pick the toddler up when they continued crying, dragged the child with a chair, and finally picked the child up only when the child was unconscious.  Both staff members were busy, standing with their backs turned, and not actively supervising children. When the teacher realized the child was unconscious, she did not check if the child was breathing but picked the toddler up and carried them across the room which could have caused an additional injury. The aide continued changing another child's diaper when the teacher realized the toddler was unconscious instead of placing the child receiving the diaper change on the floor and calling for help.
