About the Provider

The Promise of Preparation Begins at Atholton Elementary! We are committed to ensuring our students receive a quality education in elementary school so they are on the path to college and career readiness upon their high school graduation. To reach this goal our very talented school staff work within the framework of a Professional Learning Community to plan engaging and rigorous instructional activities. Teachers use differentiated instructional activities to meet individual student strengths and needs. Atholton teachers regularly come together to learn, share, and discuss “best practice” instruction for students, including the use of instructional technology. Data from instructional tasks and standardized assessments are regularly reviewed so we can be sure we are helping students reach their full academic potential.

Our students are given opportunities to develop interests and talents in the arts, leadership, and service to others. We believe these activities teach responsibility and lead to life long interests.

At Atholton, we pride ourselves in offering a safe and nurturing environment that welcomes families as partners in their child’s education. Parents support the efforts of our school by consistently monitoring their child’s learning at home, serving as volunteers through our active PTA, and providing a wide variety of supplemental resources throughout the year.

I am very proud to serve the Atholton Elementary School community and look forward to working with the students, staff, and parents during the 2014-2015 school year.
