Description:
EduKids Early Childhood Centers have been the leaders and innovators in childcare and kindergarten readiness programming in Western New York since 1989. We opened our first early childhood center in Orchard Park, New York in September of that year after founder Nancy Ware searched extensively for a high quality, educationally focused child care program for her own son. Disappointed at the poor quality and limited programs available to families in WNY, Mrs. Ware envisioned opening an outstanding facility with an experienced and loving staff; a place where families would truly feel they were bringing their children to a home away from home. Today, her original vision and mission remain at the heart and soul of every EduKids Center. The finest facility, the very best staff! EduKids partners with our families to provide: a safe, loving and high interest environment, activities and curriculums that are developmentally appropriate and the skills and confidence to become an eager, lifetime learner! Educators from all over Western New York tell us again and again how well prepared EduKids children are for the school experience!

This center has mostly caring and lovely staff. Especially in the infants room. However, there is a constant cycle of underpaid, part time aids that are less than dedicated. I witnessed an aid tell a child she didn't need to take him to use the potty because he was wearing a diaper. This child asked to try to use the potty. Also, we received no support for my child when I tried to start potty training earlier than they do in the daycare. On numerous occasions I have had to speak to them about very basic things, like remembering to give my child water to drink on a hot day. Instead they called me to come pick up my child because he was hot on a 90 degree day. I had to remind them to check his diaper in the afternoons. They were sending him home with poop crusted on his butt. In addition, the business practices of this daycare pretty shady. They charged us for the 2014 7ft of snow national emergency. With the recent wage increases they are eliminating days off credits. As though their profit margins should affect my rates. If you are already paying the people that care for my child minimum wage, that is the problem, not wage increases.
