Tender Years Learning Center #9

I wish I could give this daycare a -0- rating. The security or lack there of is a huge concern for me, for 5 weeks the locks on the doors leading to ALL the children were unlocked and I was told that they were waiting for the work order to be completed...ummm excuse me, but aren't the children's safety #1 concern???? My final draw was when the Pre-K teacher in the room to the right told my 4 year old not to tell the parents what goes on at the school. This was after I told that two boys were fighting at the school and the next day I asked the teacher the next day if there was an incident with two boys fighting that I needed to be aware of. I was told "no". PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE! Lots of turn over in the staff also.
Tender Years is not the place for kids. The owner is very snobbish and is not appreciative of the business her clients bring her. She acts as if we are more of a hindrance than a client. She does not acknowledge the parents or the children in her center, never interacts and will ignore your presence. She does not allow her contact information to be given nor the corporate office number to speak to her about your concerns. She has increased tuition twice since my children have been in her facility, seems all she cares about is the money. She takes advantage knowing her facility is the only one that open at 6 am. The playground is not child friendly at all. A real potential for your child to be injured due to the water pipes that surround the children's play area not leaving much room to run around without being extremely cautious, which most kids don't do. Red clay dirt ruin many of my children's clothing and shoes due to no wood chips or grass-like padding being used in the outside play area. There is also a very dangerous hill that the children must walk down where red clay mud collects mid way down. Nothing has been done about it EVER!
The staff have been great, however she doesn't keep them around too long. As soon as you get used to a teacher or director, she fires them due to "enrollment decreases" when SHE'S THE REASON NO ONE WANTS TO BRING THEIR KIDS THERE! She does not show any respect to her staff and she will talk down on them in a very ugly tone in the presence of others. Very unprofessional and power stricken. I have loved each one of the teachers my child has had, but you don't feel comfortable leaving your child with new teachers and directors every few months. The teachers are all very nice, polite and professional showing the children love and care daily. Too bad they won't stick around long. I hope that wherever her staff goes they are better off, best wishes to them.
In closing, choose a facility that cares about you and your children being comfortable with the staff, safe while playing and shows that the care they provide for your child is more important than just the profit they receive for your child being there, whether it be government money for the grants received or the tuition you pay..Tender Years is not that facility.
Best Learning center ever. Very professional, friendly, they treat children like their own. They create clear respectable rules for children to promote positive behavior. Teachers are very patient with children and very creative. They have different learning activities to help children grow in all areas. and their food are delicious!
