| Children were not adequately supervised at all times. During group time, one (1) of the teachers went to use the restroom at 11:00a. During this time, a child moved from the carpet to the teacher area. When asked to return to the carpet, the child did not return to the carpet and went to a candy/treasure box located on the shelf to the left of the teacher's desk to get Nerds. After the child got a box of Nerds out of the cand/treasure box, the child sat between the legs of the easel that was used for group time to hide and eat his candy. The staff member returned from the bathroom at 11:05a and sat down with group at group time. The staff still did not realize that one child was not on the carpet at group time. The staff member who was conducting the lesson, was asking questions to the children and when she asked the child that was hiding a question at 11:09a she realized he was not on the carpet and both staff began looking for the child. When they noticed the child was hiding between the easel legs, the staff reviewed the classroom rules that they are not to be in the teachers area. | |||
