About the Provider
My name is Ana Garcia and I am thrilled about the opportunity to serve your learning community as principal at Salida Elementary School. Some of you may recognize me from my prior work as a kindergarten teacher at Dena Boer, or as a 6th teacher and Assistant Principal at Salida Middle School. Or you may know me as Principal at Sisk Elementary, my most recent assignment in the Salida School District. You see, I have been an educator in Salida for the past twelve years, and during my tenure I have interacted with the families and the staff throughout our district. Knowing what a fantastic community we have, it is a privilege for me to be able to join the SES staff and families.
I bring to the job a passion for excellence in education. This passion developed when I came to live in California, from Mexico. I was a second grader entering a whole new and unknown world. The educators who worked with me, the student, were dedicated, knowledgeable, and caring individuals who worked to empower children and ensure opportunities for success. I knew then that I wanted to be one of them; forty years later I am delighted to say educators afforded me the opportunity to follow my passion.
As the educational leader at Salida Elementary School I will draw on my aspiration, past experience and the learning community’s input to assist staff, families, and the civic leaders around us to continue to strive for academic excellence and support a safe and healthy learning environment for our students; one where they will want to learn and where learning is engaging and meaningful to them.
