About the Provider
Six centers, strategically located throughout the City of Hartford, provide high-quality early childhood learning and development services year-round to infants, toddlers and preschool children, including those with special needs. Funding to support the operations of the Early Learning Centers is provided by the State of Connecticut and the City of Hartford. Therefore, the Early Learning Centers adhere to state and local requirements and implement scientifically proven instructional practices, provide classroom environments that offer rich active explorations, nurturing relationships and social interactions, as well as critical learning experiences for all enrolled children.
In addition, the Early Learning Centers are committed to family engagement and recognize parents as each child’s first and most important teachers. All of the Early Learning Centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), licensed by the State Department of Public Health and employ experienced and credentialed early childhood professionals to partner with parents in order to promote the health and development of their children.
