| Findings: The home was built in 1967. There were a couple of spots of chipped paint noted during the inspection. One was on the dark blue wall near the toy store shelf and the other was noted on the light blue wall on the corner before going into the kitchen. Provider needs to have the painted surface tested for lead paint. An inspector approved by the Maryland Department of the Environment must be used. There is also chipping paint on the cement walkway in front of the house. This needs to be tested as well. The provider can have a lead dust test done on the surfaces after repair. This would only let us know the status of the paint at that moment in time. If a surface should be chipped again then another test would need to be done. The provider could also have an XRF test done of all the painted surfaces in/at the home to determine if there is any lead paint present to be worried about. If the test is negative we won't have to worry about any more chipped or deteriorated paint as it will have been determined that there is no lead paint at any paint level. | |||
