About the Provider
Since its establishment as a private, non-profit organization in 1995, The Connecticut Center for Child Development (CCCD) has provided a continuum of services for Individuals with Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, and related disorders and other co-occurring disorders. Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals with autism and related disorders and the lives of their families by enabling them to become active participants and contributing members within their families and communities. Furthermore, we are driven to advance the field of Behavior Analysis by cultivating new practitioners and educating others about Behavior Analysis. In order to achieve our mission, we operate 3 private school campuses that provide state-of the art, individualized behavior analytic programing, outreach services, adult day services, and provide diagnostic and educational evaluations to families, assist others who are interested in starting up similar programs, and provide mentorship to individuals seeking certification as a BCBA or BCaBA. In addition, CCCD is dedicated to educating educators, doctors, dentists, first responders and others in the community about autism and the best practices for enabling individuals with autism to be productive members within their communities.
