About the Provider
The Chester Addison Community Center (CACC) is a vibrant, comprehensive community center serving the social, emotional, educational, and health needs of Stamford’s Waterside residents. The center is situated in Southwood Square, the neighborhood’s mixed income housing development. Its 315 households are home to over 200 children.
Chester Addison provides programming to area youth including after-school enrichment for elementary and middle school students and specialized programs for teens, adults, and the elderly. We offer many different types of special programs for both youth and adults. Past programs have included chess, cheerleading, cooking, Mighty Mites basketball, mentoring program, group counseling, programs for seniors, and more. In addition, our computer lab is open to any CACC member for email access, Internet research, and word processing tasks. In 2014, we began partnering with Project Music here in Stamford so our youth can learn a musical instrument; we now have dozens of children who play a variety of instruments, plus a bucket drumming group.
